COMM 344: Game Design Topic

I've been a part of the gaming community for almost 2 decades. I have also seen the way violence in video games has changed in those 2 decades. The topic for my blog this semester will focus on video game violence, its evolution and how it effects/has effected our community. It'll include studies done on video game violence and if it really does effect a person's mind. I'll touch on cases that were "caused" by video games violence. I'll also include my own personal experiences on the subject as I can give a first person experience on the effects of video game violence. It's a subject that gets talked about on the TV, internet, and studies, but it's a subject that doesn't get talked about in depth. This blog will be dedicated to studying video game violence and answer the question if video game violence really effects people the way the media makes it out to be.
