PSAs and Relay

PSAs are always something has been effective in advertising. They have been effective in getting their messages across the people. They have introduced characters that people have come to know (i.e. Smokey the Bear.) For the past couple of weeks, I have been involved with an ad campaign for Relay for Life. To me, PSAs and the work being done for Relay are alot alike because they both want to get their point across on a certain issue (in Relay's case: cancer.) Both are comparable in their ways of getting their message out. They both use images that stick out for that campaign and they both use slogans that stick out in a person's mind. They make people want to actually care about the campaign and maybe get people involved in the promotion. It makes people think "Yeah this is getting to me." The strength of the work I've done for Relay are the images we used. The Superhero campaign has the heroes representing the fight against cancer. The slogans we used for the 3 campaigns make the campaigns stand out.The one thing I would change to the Rockin' Relay and Pirate themes is make a suitable character for their respective campaigns. The Superhero theme made it easier to come up with a face for the campaign much like Smokey the Bear is a face for preventing forest fires. It would give the people someone to look at when it comes to fighting cancer.
