Shepherdstown is home to various shops for various needs in your life. Come see shops where you can get your palm read (if you're into that kind of thing). Thrill as you see college students destroy a bar. Enjoy a bunch of college students who think they're hipsters just by sitting at a coffee shop. But in all seriousness, we need to save the kitties. They're all over the damn place. They could get ran over by various cars and the slow, moving trains. Think of the kitties!

After a hard day at work and school, your family sits down to dinner, but wouldn't you rather be playing video games instead?
"Hey Tommy, let's go play Playstation!"
"I don't know Jenny, shouldn't we be eating dinner with mom and dad?"
"We can eat dinner anytime! Let's play Playstation!"
The kids are playing Playstation when the kids' dad comes in.
"Kids, why aren't you eating dinner with your mother and I?"
"We got a Playstation, dad! We wanted to play it!"
"Jenny, didn't we lock you in the closet?"
The kids and their father continue playing Playstation and enjoying themselves. Meanwhile, Mom is downstairs waiting for her family to come down for dinner. They never do.

Wright Brothers Soar into History
Wright Brothers Soar into History

Orville and Wilbur Wright completed the first controlled flight on December 17th.
The flight took place in the Kill Devil Hills in North Carolina. Five spectators were on hand to see 3 tests done by the brothers. The first of the flights took place at 10:35 am. The flight lasted for 12 secs. Wilbur Wright then did a test and the final test was done by Orville.
"We were very pleased with the tests," Wilbur Wright said
The successful test comes after several successful tests with a motor-less glider. The original test was suppose to take place on December 14th, but the machine stalled before take off. When asked what to do with the success of their tests, the Wrights became excited.
"We hope to take this project public." Orville Wright said with a smile. "We think this experiment will make history."
